TRIP TO OHIO

I am planning a trip to Columbus (Ohio) next October 2009, in order to have a one week stay in the City during the All American Quarter Horse Congress, which is the World's Largest Single-Breed Horse Show held in Columbus by the Ohio Quarter Horse Association.

This will be my third visit to the Congress and I have learn, when I went there for the first time, that we need to have a reservation quite a few months in advance. For me to make sure of a safe, comfortable and “Near to the Site” place to stay, I will look at the Columbus Oh hotels. They offer an excellent choice of Hotels, all of good quality.

Usually getting to Columbus from North thru I71 and knowing that following a 30 hours drive from Quebec City it is better to stop before arriving the site, I make my reservation at the Super 8 Hotel, on E Dublin-Granville Rd, which is a minute drive off the highway.

The All American Quarter Horse Congress show receives more than 17,000 horse show entries and will house more than 8,500 registered American Quarter Horses during its three-week schedule. The Congress attracts more than 650,000 people to the Columbus area and for that reason there is so much to see that I will spend most of my time at the Congress Site.

If time will ever permit on the evening, my hubby and I will enjoy traveling to Polaris Towne Center and Polaris Fashion Place. Polaris Towne Center features many national chains, such as Barnes & Noble, Lowe's, JoAnn Etc., OfficeMax and Old Navy, just to name a few

A one of a kind place to visit is the Columbus Museum of Arts, known for featuring impressionists and postimpressionists. The Columbus Museum of Art is a bit on the small side for a large city but is well done and worth a visit.
