HEAVY SNOW

There was a heavy snowfall this morning. I was so scared when I drove to work because the road has 0 visibility. It took me 25 mins drive to work instead of 10 to 15 mins. I just drove very carefully and use the 4 wheel drive. 

When I arrived at work, my boss called me and told me that he might arrive too late due to the bad weather and a heavy traffic.  There were lots of accident in the highway (freeway). One of the local bus had an accident due to the slippery road and at least 10 passenger were injured. 

I'm always thankful at the end of the day that nothing bad happen to me and to my husband.

SO FOGGY

Oh my! I feel that we are already in Spring season. The weather temperature goes up to 5 degree Celsius and most of the ice were already melting. I have a mix feeling when I got out from work, excited thinking of the summer that will come soon and sad because I didn't enjoy the winter, not yet.  I still want to have more snow fall but not a snow storm. I still want to go skiing and try ice skating. I want to try the ice skating at least once before the winter end. I just hope that I can get at least 2 friday off so that I can go skating.

It was so foggy today since this morning. I was a little scared when i drove back home. I can't hardly see the road. Good that my car has a fog light and it really helps a lot.

ANOTHER COLD WEATHER

We have a cold weather temperature today. As you can see the photo above, the temperature is all below -15 and "feels like" -34 for tonight. The roads are slippery and there were lots of accident in the highway. There was one big accident just close to our place. I saw it on my way home from work. Seeing that accident really makes me scared and don't feel to drive again.

SUNNY BUT FREEZING WEATHER

Another freezing temperature today but a litter better than yesterday. The road is as slippery as yesterday and still lots of car accident in the highway. I was watching the news in the tv and they show the road condition and there is no reason for the drivers to drive fast for they know that the road is really bad but they still drive fast and cause the accident. I feel pity for those drivers who drive carefully and become the victim of the bad drivers.

Drive carefuly and safely guys..roads are very slippery.

FROZEN RIVER

(St-Laurent River Levis, Quebec )

Weather temperature this morning was -31 degree celsius and I'm telling you that it was very very cold. We are very lucky that we have a covered garage where we park our car or else, we will have a hard time to start the engine. I need to go to the asian store to buy some spring roll wrapper so we have to go out in the very cold weather. We planned to take the ferry to save time but when we arrived at the ferry, the crew told us that we might wait 30 or 1 hour or maybe more because the ferry from Quebec City side had a hard time to dock. They're already 30 mins late and still they don't know what time they can dock so we turn around and just take the highway.

The photo above was taken this afternoon where some of the ice were already melting since the temperature is getting warmer and it is suppose to be warmer tomorrow and will be positive next week.

FINALLY, WE'RE HOME

We left from the hotel at 8:30 in the morning. We stop at my friend's house in Trois-Réviere and it took us 1 and a half hour to reach their place because we drove 90 km/hr in the highway due to the heavy snow fall. The road was not very well clean. We stayed almost 45 mins only because we still have another 1 and a half hour to drive back home.

I knew that hubby was already feed up driving for 2 days but I can't offer him to drive because I'm still have that fear I had after my accident.

He will leave tomorrow to Regina, so i have no choice but to drive myself to work until he will come back :-(

We just arrive home and thankful that we arrive safe.

READY FOR WINTER

As I mention in my previous entry, hubby will be leaving to Alberta next week. Because he will be away for few weeks, maybe months, he started to take all the summer stuff to the shed. He don't want that I will stuck with it. He already washed the garage when I arrived from work this afternoon. Patio table set were already in the shed and tomorrow we will take out the tarpaulin roof and put it in its place. I know it's still too soon since the weather is still warm and nice but we're afraid that he will stay longer in Alberta. I can't do all this thing alone. Cutting the grass and preparing the flowers for winter,that I can do it alone.

So this is it. I'm ready for winter and so excited to it but sad that I will be alone in few weeks or months :-(

FREEZING RAIN

We have freezing rain just now. Oh boy! I hate it. I almost had an accident last week while driving to work. It was snowing and the road was so slippery. Hubby told me to use the 4 wheels drive but I didn't coz I thought it was okey. Good thing I was able to control the stirring wheel.

I told hubby a while ago to just drop me at work instead of driving coz I'm so afraid now but I don't want. He wanted me to drive carefully ...it's a good practice ..well, goodluck to me :-)

TRAFFIC LIGHT

This is the first time I'm joining ABC WEDNESDAY. My photo for this week is T-raffic light. This was taken last February during the snow storm in our place with freezing rain. We just drove around the area to see if there were damage but thanks God that everything was okey. I had my camera with me and hubby as well. We both love taking pictures especially after the storm.

SNOWSTORM & FREEZING RAIN

We had freezing rain yesterday until this morning but the worst thing is we have a very bad snow storm today. We have 60 cm of snow now from this morning up to this moment. We drove around this morning (as what we use to do every snowstorm) before heading to the resto for our breakfast. I took my big camera and took lots of pictures outside. Photo above is one of the picture I took this morning.

I hope the storm will be over before the end of the day. Our patio is already full of snow and it's hard to take it out because of the freezing rain last night. But we are not worry about the patio because it's very strong. Hubby did it by himself.

Well, this is all for now. I have to go outside and try if I can see something to picture:-)

SNOW STORM HITS QUEBEC

We don't have much snowstorm this winter. As I remember, we only have 1 big storm and I guess 3 little snow storm. You may think that I'm weird if I will tell you that I love snow storm. Yes, it's true. I don't know why but I really love if there is a big snow storm. But this winter, we don't have that much. The previous snow storm, I was at work so I didn't enjoy it. And just now, I will go work in a few minutes so still I will not enjoy it. Hubby and I use to go out if there is a snowstorm. We drove around and see what's happening in our area. Sometime, I just stay outside the house enjoying every snowflakes that fall. And hot chocolate is perfect if the weather is cold and I love doing it, have it in front of the window watching the snow falls :-). I will only work 3 hours today, and I hope I still have time enjoying the snow storm.

WINTER FESTIVAL 2009 IN QUEBEC

This is what I'm waiting for. It's the winter festival here in Quebec. We been there yesterday but I was very disappointed. I been there in the morning because we have to go to Stoneham for the skiing. I was very tranquille in the morning that's why I didn't enjoy. And the worst is the international ice sculpture compitition will start in the afternoon. So we were not able to take pictures and that's all I want there.



Well, though I was disappointed but I still enjoy at the same time because we did snow rafting and snow sliding. We also watched the dog show, the first dog show in the snow in all over Canada. But for sure, we will go back there in the festival this friday but this time, it will be in the night because I want to take picture of the ice castle with all the lights. I will for sure post here the photo of the festival next week.

JOY RIDE

Joy Ride?I don't know if this word exist in English he he he. But I remember we always use this word when I was still in Philippines if we want to go for a ride just for fun. We're never using this word here because we don't speak english, we speak french and they're not using this word. Well, this is what we did today. We didn't know that it was snowing last night. When we woke up this morning, we saw the tress that full of snow. There was no big wind so the snow stayed in the trees. So we decided to have our breakfast somewhere in the country so that we can take some photo and beside from that, we love to go for a ride and see the beauty of the nature. I didn't took much photo becuase the result is not nice if it's too much white. But I'm telling you, I really enjoy the day today. We spend few hours just driving around. It's very relaxing to see the beauty of the nature.
