MY FUTURE RESTAURANT

I remember when I was still in Philippines; I didn’t know how to cook not even a simple one. All I know is to cook rice, fried fish and eggs and the rest, I can’t. My dad told me that I have to learn on how to cook because now that I’m married, it’s my duty to cook for my family especially to my husband since we don’t have kids just now. But I always have a reason so that I can’t cook. I told my dad that I will learn cooking as soon as I will be with my hubby and I will ask my hubby to teach me to cook Canadian foods because I’m afraid that he doesn’t like Pilipino foods. On the first few weeks of my stay here, it’s always my hubby who cooked our meals and it’s so sad to say that I don’t like that much on their foods. I’m still looking for Pilipino foods. And the worst is there is no Pilipino restaurant here in our area. We still have to drive 2 and a half hour to go to the Pilipino restaurant. Oh my! I felt that it is really a need for me to try cooking Pilipino foods. I did a few try and it was successful. I was so happy on that time. Since then, I started to surf recipes in the internet and I invited my hubby’s family for Pilipino dinner at home. They were very amazed on my foods. They love it.

My sister-in-law asked me if I would like to have a Pilipino Restaurant here in our area since there is no Philippine restaurant here. Of course I would love to have one and I’m dreaming of it. I talked to hubby about this and he told me that maybe we can do it when he will retire. I’m so excited to have my own restaurant with my specialty, Pilipino foods. Just now, I’m already thinking of what would be the theme of my future restaurant. It would be an exotic restaurant. There would be lots of plants inside the restaurant and all the furniture would be a bamboo style. I made up this idea when I saw this bamboo (chiavari) side chairs in fashionseating.com. I really love that chair and it fits to my theme. It is simple and elegant chair. I can’t wait to have my own restaurant.

BEDROOM FURNITURE

One of the things that I want to change here in our house is our bedroom furniture. We been doing a lot of renovation in the house but we didn’t touch anything in our bedroom. Before I came here in Canada, hubby show me his bedroom and I really like the color blue since blue is my favourite color. I asked him not to change the color and even the furniture. So he didn’t change the color and all the furniture is still the same furniture since I arrived here. Our bedroom sets are still in good shape so just for now, we didn’t change anything. But after we finished renovating our living room, hubby is thinking of repainting the bedroom since the master’s bedroom is just next to our living room. He wants to match the color to the color of our living room. I told him that if he wants to repaint the bedroom, he has to wait until I can find the bedroom set that that I want. I started looking online and I found the bedroom furniture that I really want to have. I show it to my hubby right away so that he can pick up the color that will match the bedroom furniture and in our living room at the same time.

NEW KITCHEN SINK

This afternoon while I was cleaning the mess in our kitchen, I’ve noticed that the sink is not working properly. I really don’t know what’s going on. I was alone because hubby was in his cousin’s garage. I called him many times to ask for help but there’s no answer in the phone. I was in panic because I was afraid that the water will flow all over the kitchen. Good that hubby arrived on time. He fixed the sink and the water stopped. But it doesn’t mean that everything is going fine. The sink is totally damage now. Anyway, this sink is very old. Hubby said that we will have to change it as soon as possible. Just now, he’s looking for kitchen sinks online. If he will find it now and I will like it, for sure we will buy it right away because it is really in need. I want a triple bowl sinks and that’s what hubby wants too. I hope that the old sink we have now will still work fine before we will find the one we want. I don’t want to have overflow water in our kitchen. It’s another problem and just now, it’s not in our plan to renovate the kitchen and not in our budget too.

This is all for now. I will help hubby find the best kitchen sink.

MY FRIEND'S COLLECTION

One of my friends is fan of wooden stuff. She’s collecting different stuff that made of wood. She collects wooden mask and she put it in her living room. There are still lots of missing furniture in the house and just now, she still looking of pure wood furniture. She wants furniture that will match in all of her collections. She’s been to the furniture store and she found what she wants. She told me that she will buy it next week. She almost has everything now and the only missing are wooden blinds that she will put in her windows. I been to her place this morning because she asked me to help her find blinds online. We searched in the net and we found the wooden blinds online. It’s a sunwood range of wooden venetian blinds. She was very happy of what we found because it matches perfectly on her collection and just to think that she loves wooden stuff very much. She showed it to her husband right away and her husband like it very much also. They are both happy and excited to buy the wooden blinds. They want it to be install before March because they were planning to celebrate the birthday party of her husband in their house and invite all their friends so that they will see their new house.

NEW FURNITURE

Since the first day I live with my hubby, we’re always have this loveseat and until now we’re still using it. Yesterday, I broke one leg of the loveseat. I was really disappointed because I love it and I want to keep it. I was planning to put it in the basement as soon as we will have a new one because we planned to buy a new one to match in our furniture in the living room. But I can’t do it now. It’s already broken. We have no choice now. We have to buy sofas, one for the living room and one for the basement in my entertaining room. We checked last night for a sofa and we decided to buy this leather and fabric sectional sofas with chaise from Buy Couches online. We both love this because it’s a combination of leather and a fabric and all the pillows are included. This will fit perfectly in our living room. And also, their discounted prices are very affordable and the shipping is free. For the basement in our entertainment room, we decided to put a sectional leather sofa with built-in tables. We love the design and the light color will be good in the basement because we don’t have to have a dark basement. With this new furniture in our basement, I’m sure I will spend more time there with my laptop. I’m so excited now to purchase this sofa.

NEW BATHROOM VANITY

You will see in my previous post last year that we already finished renovating our living room. The paint and the furniture are all done. The only missing is a little furniture that I will put in the corner where I put my Christmas tree. We finished the living room first week of December and I put the Christmas decoration right away. And after I put back my Christmas decoration to where we use to store them, there is an empty space in the living room. And we’re still shopping that little furniture. We’re not yet done in renovating the house. We still have the bedroom and the bathroom to do. We want to change all the furniture. There’s not much work to do in the bedroom. All we need to do is repaint and put a new television. The rest are still fine. In the bathroom, there will be a big work to do. We have to make it a little bigger and change all the furniture and the tub. We will start working the bathroom next week and we started looking for the furniture so that we can plan where to put that furniture and all the measurements. We have to plan it very carefully as we have a very limited space. I already found a nice bathroom vanity that for sure we will buy it.
