Yes, it's true. I'm here in the hotel in Baie Comeau. As I said in my previous post that I'm so excited to be in this place. It's a little village but the scenery is very fantastic. We left home 6:00 in the morning and we arrived here at 3:00 in the afternoon. We stop in few places to take some pictures. It was a very long drive but hubby drove halfway and I drove the other half of the trip. We were so lucky because yesterday, we checked the weather forecast it's rain. But fortunately, it's not raining the whole day. We have a little rain just now. We don't mind because we're already here in the hotel. I'm just hoping that we will have a nice day tomorrow.

You can see some of the photo that I took today here.

I'm so excited now to spend the weekend in Baie Comeau. This is the place that I always ask hubby to visit. It's quite far from where we live so we need to stay one night in a hotel. Hotel is already reserved and the ferry going to Matane. From home to Baie Comeau will take 5 hrs drive plus 20 minutes ferry to cross the river. But we have to stop some places for picture so I guess it will take us 6 or 7 hours drive instead of 5 hours. We will sleep in Baie Comeau then we have to drive to Godbout for the ferry that will take us to Matane. This ferry will take 2 hours to cross the St-Laurent river to Matane. Then from Matane to our place will take 5 hours drive. But as I said, we have to stop many place for picture and I guess we will arrive home almost midnight. We don't mind what time we will arrive home he he he. We love to travel so there will be no problem.

I'm pretty sure that I will take lots of picture. Good that I have 3 spare of battery for my camera. In this way, I don't need to charge which is very hard because I don't have adoptor for the car. Hubby bought me 2 more battery so taht I can use them in Philippines and I have 2 8gigs memory card he he he. Everything will be okey:-)

I will post for sure some photo next week.

By the way, Caroland's Breathtaking Adventure is already finish. I've change the layout and I migrated it to my other account. Friends, can you change the link of my Caroland's Breathtaking Adventure? I really appreciate if you can do it for me...thanks. Pls feel free to visit that blog.

I finally renewed the domain of this blog. I received the notice of renewal many times but I didn't do it because I don't have enough money in my paypal. I just renewed a while ago and in addition, I bought another domain for my other blog that I abandoned. I decided to buy domain for that blog and continue updating it. I still have to finalize everything before I will give you the link.

I have to end this now. I have severe headache. I will rest a little before hubby will arrive.

First thing I always do when I wake up in the morning is open my laptop and check my email. Usually, I'm not reading forwarded emails but this time, I don't know why, I was interested in reading one of the forwarded email from my friend zhel. The subject of the email is H1N1 update. I read all the content and suddenly, I felt sad. Why? Honestly, I'm not afraid of that virus. There are already some victims of H1N1 here in Quebec and they keep on telling the people to be very careful with this virus, put a protection etc, etc. But me and hubby always away every weekend and eat in the restaurant, go to public places without protection and so far, so good. We don't feel any of the symptoms of this virus. I'm very confident that I'm healthy and ready to have my vacation in Philippines. But after reading the forwarded email, I felt really sad. I'm afraid that they will quarantine me when I will arrive in Philippines to make sure that I don't have that virus. If this will happen, all the plan will be distroy. Firt week of my arrival is very tight. We will arrive friday night in cebu and flight the next day to CDO for my nephew's baptism and then after a day, we will take the ferry for Tagbilaran, Bohol for the Mega EB of member. This is all in one week, the first week of my arrival. I will just hope that there will be no changes in the plan. If it happen that they have to quarantine me, it can break my vacation. I HOPE THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN. I'm crossing my finger.

Well, I want to share to you the forwarded email that I received.

The Department of Health is officially announcing this evening the first confirmed case of Influenza A (H1N1) in the Philippines .
A female traveler arrived in the Philippines on May 18, Monday, from the United States and Canada . A throat specimen was collected, and was tested at the Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM) on May 20, Wednesday, after she developed fever, sore throat and cough.
Today, RITM confirmed that the specimen tested positive for the novel Influenza A (H1N1) on PCR using the primers sent by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
She was immediately started on an antiviral, Oseltamivir, and given supportive care. At this time, the patient is continuously being monitored. She no longer has fever or cough, but still has sore throat.
The DOH would like to emphasize that there is no community level outbreak in the country and measures are being done by the government to prevent transmission, starting with the quarantine of household close contacts.
The family of the patient has been informed and advised about the situation. We would like to thank them for their cooperation and willingness to comply with the recommendations of the DOH. They were advised to observe self-monitoring, home quarantine, social distancing, proper hygiene and respiratory etiquette procedures.
We appeal to our media partners and the rest of the nation to respect the privacy and anonymity of the patient and her family. Rest assured that any information vital to protect public health and safety will be appropriately shared to those concerned.
The DOH also stresses that the discovery of this first case of Influenza A(H1N1) in the Philippines is something we have been preparing for and is a result of the collective efforts of both public and private sectors as well as the effective surveillance system which we have put in place.
The DOH has already notified the International Health Regulations (IHR) and will submit its official report in 24 hours.
Influenza A (H1N1) is currently affecting 41 other countries with 11,034 cases and 85 deaths. Thus far, the behavior of the virus is to cause generally mild illness and low mortality (<1%) in the affected population.
This development only shows the vulnerability of all countries to the threat of Influenza A (H1N1) which indicates that no nation and no government should be complacent. Thus, we continue to strengthen our systems for surveillance, early detection and management and effective response. We are also closely coordinating with the WHO, other agencies of government and the private sector to effectively combat the virus.
Our stockpiles of Oseltamivir is currently sufficient at 1 million capsules and have been distributed in regional hubs all over the country. We would like to remind the public that Oseltamivir may only be dispensed and taken upon the advice of your doctor. Irrational use can result in drug resistance that causes the drug to become ineffective in the future.
We reiterate to the public that government is on top of the situation and everyone is advised to be vigilant. If you have arrived from an affected country and develop flu-like symptoms (or TRANGKASO) such as fever, sore throat and cough, immediately consult a medical professional or call the DOH Hotline at (02) 711-1001 or 711-1002.
This situation is evolving globally. We will give regular updates to the media and the public as information becomes available.
To know more about Influenza A(H1N1), you may go to the DOH Website at [0].

It’s been a while since I started to love cooking. I love inventing recipes. Actually, I have my own website just for my recipe. I found it very interesting especially if I can invent a new recipe or new design for my cake. Baking is the most interesting part of my cooking. I love baking cakes and cupcakes. I always put icing on a finished cake with my own design. Sometimes I bake cake with hubby’s little niece. She really loves to help me preparing my stuff and sometimes, she’s the one who bake the cake. Same as other kids, she loves to bake cupcakes and cookies. She always asks me when I will make cupcake because she will come here and do it with me. Sometimes I’m feed up of making cupcakes with her because the kitchen is really a mess (you know how kids work). She doesn’t mind the mess she did as long as she enjoyed cooking.

One time, I went to the grocery store and I found Dr. Oetker Shaker. I was very curious when I saw it. I read it very carefully and it’s very interesting. I bought one to try and I really like it. It’s the easiest way to do cupcake without a mess. All you have to do is add milk or water then shake, shake, and shake! And not only that, this Dr. Oetker Shaker is good for our health. It’s 0 trans fat, a source of fibre, and Prebiotics. Hubby loves it and he brings it to his office for his snack. I called my hubby’s niece to try it home and she really enjoy it and I’m so happy because there’s no more mess in my kitchen while we both enjoying it.

Yes! My lumping shanghai are ready to deliver. I just finish awhile ago. I still have make it cool and pack it before I will deliver. My free time tomorrow will be in the afternoon only.

I'm so excited to deliver my shanghai lumpia because of course it's extra income for me he he he. More money for me to buy gifts for my pamangkins he he he.

I started to love fishing after I’m living with my hubby. He loves to go fishing in the summer and he’s the one who introduced me in fishing. Since then, I love it. We did fishing a lot last summer, sometimes with friends and family and sometimes, just the two of us. I am a little bit disappointed that I will miss the fishing this summer but excited at the same time because I will be with my family this summer. To be with them is very important for me than going fishing.

Hubby already bought his fishing permit for this summer. He will spend his summer in the chalet with his cousin. They will go fishing in the night and cut woods in the day. Hubby’s cousin will extend his chalet so they need to cut woods for the extension and hubby will help him to do all that works.

Since they will go fishing in the night, hubby will need to have a good flashlight. I broke his flashlight last summer and it was a good flashlight, very handy and it lights up very well. Since father’s day is fast approaching, I decided to give him a good flashlight like Surefire Flashlights. I know that this flashlight is the best flashlight in the world. I’m sure hubby will be happy to have this as his father’s day gift.

I don't know if you notice that my other blog, CAROLAND'S BREATHTAKING ADVENTURE, is not working anymore. It took me 6 months to decide if I will continue this blog or not. Well, I'm late again and have a very late update. Sorry again guys :-( I'm so busy lately. I need to finish all the works inside and outside the house before I will fly to Philippines. We just finished installing the new cenima maison. Installing is not as easy as what we thought. We've change all the cables and to do that, we have to go to the attic and to go there is not easy. You have to crawl and hubby was doing it alone. I felt pity for him. And finally, it's done and we're enjoying now our new cenima maison (home theater). Aside from that, I did my spring cleaning. I washed all the windows, outside and inside, and I washed all the walls. It's a complete cleaning. Everything in the house is already clean and ready for the summer.

Outside, I already started cleaning my flower garden and the spring flowers are already blooming especially my tulips. This year, I started to plant some herbs. Hubby is already complaining he he he because he will take care all my plants alone for 50 days. Poor hubby.

And finally, I'm already counting the days for my vacation. I'm getting more and more excited as days goes by. Oh my! I can't wait to see my family and excited.

This is all the latest update of me and before I end up this post, I would like to greet all the mothers a BELATED HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! I'm so sorry...this is late. It's better late than never:-)

Since summer is fast approaching, mosquito are getting more and more especially during the night. We are lucky in where we live just now because we don’t have much mosquito since we don’t have many trees around. But in the chalet, there are lots of mosquitos and it’s not only an ordinary mosquito but it’s the big mosquito that will suck lots of blood. Hubby and I spend most of our weekend in the chalet and we never enjoy our nights outside and even having barbeque outside until we bought this mosquito magnet trap. Our friend has one and he said that it’s really good. We tried it and we were really amazed how it catches many mosquitos in just a little span of time. It’s very interesting so we bought one for us to have a safe stay in the chalet while enjoying the summer.

Mosquito is very dangerous. They can cause health problem such as West Nile virus and malaria and they can kill you. So it’s better to be safe always and Mosquito magnet traps will protect you from this deadly mosquito.

You can read the mosquito magnet review for more information and learn how it saves many families from viruses that cause by mosquito.

We just arrive from the mall. We bought a new cinema maison (home theater) a YHT-791 7.1 Channel Home Theater in a Box System (New). This will be install in the living room. The old one will be install in the basement where I use as an entertainment area and it's in the basement also where I spend time with my friend having karaoke. I like in the basement because nobody can hear us outside even if we shout out loud while singing he he he and hubby can watch his show in the living room without disturbing.

Now, he has his own cinema maison now but for sure, it's me who will use it often since hubby don't like to loud if he will only watch tv but for movie, we both love the sound with the sound system.

I had a serious conversation with my hubby last night. I don’t know what happen to me. When we talked about my vacation in Philippines before, it was very clear and already final that I will go alone and I agree already. But lately, I feel that I don’t want to spend my summer alone in Philippines. I want to have my hubby with me. I talked to him last night and he’s decision is final. He doesn’t want to go! I was crying and begging him to go with me but the answer is still no. But then, he told me something that makes my eyes so big. He said that we will have a wildwood vacations in New Jersey. Of course, I was very happy and I’m not asking him again to go with me in Philippines. We plan right away the trip. We want to be there in August because we want to see the Radio Disney Concert Series that will be in Wildwood, New Jersey at Morey’s Piers starting the end of June until the end of August. I will arrive from Philippines August 8 and we will fly to New Jersey the week after. The concert is free and many of the top radio Disney artists will be there. So we want to take this opportunity since this is one of my childhood dreams. I’m so excited to see them in the concert. I’m also excited to go to Morey’s Piers and Beachfront Waterparks. One place that interests me most is the New Jersey Water Parks. Oh my! I’m pretty sure that there will be lots of fun there. I can imagine myself playing in the water park like a kid and enjoying the rides at New Jersey amusement parks.

Next year will be Jersey shore beach vacation. It’s already planned for next year.

Guys, I would like to introduce to you the new member of our family, my new born nephew. He's the 7th grandchild of my parents. They are one of the reasons why I'm so excited to spend my vacation in Philippines. Three nieces and one nephew that I never seen yet in person. So excited to see them all.
