10th YEAR IN QUEBEC, CANADA

As I said in my previous post, yesterday night was my 10th year here in Canada. I arrived in Vancouver, Canada on the 25th of January 2004. My husband was there waiting for me and then we took the plane going to Montreal and we arrived in Montreal, Quebec on the 26th of January 2004. So today is my 10th year here in Quebec where I started to have my own family...my new home.

It was 10 years ago when I first step in this wonderland Quebec...10 years ago when I first touch the snow...10 years ago when I first stepped in our little home...10 years now and counting.

10 YEARS

Exactly at this hour, 10 years ago when I landed in Vancouver, Canada and became a Permanent Resident in the country. It was 10 years ago when I saw my husband patiently waiting for me in the waiting area in the airport with a bouquet of roses in his hands. It was 10 years ago....... and we are still together until now and counting as happy couple.

To celebrate this occasion , hubby surprise me with a nice supper in a fancy restaurant with our friends. It's been 10 years now and he never stop surprising me. I'm so thankful to have him and completed my life. He always there every time I need him, he always there to comfort me in time of sorrow and laugh at me in times of happiness. He always make me feel that I'm always a part of this family and in this country. He's my everything second to God.

I love you mon amour and i will now stop loving you until the end.

NEW TELESERIES

                                                        (Photo not mine)

We finally found a tv show that we both love to watch, the Mauvais Karma. It's a French teleseries here in Quebec. I been watching this show for a while until hubby watched once and I'm glad that he loves this show, and now we can watch this together every night. We're done the saison 1 and just finish the episode 2 of the saison 2. We're both looking forward to see every episode, 3 or 4 episode per night.

I'm thinking of buying a DVD of the whole saison for it's cheaper than buying from iTunes . I paid $19.99 for each saison, 1and 2. If I can find the DVD on sale, for sure I will buy the complete saison. I will shop for it.

For now, we will continue watching the episode 3 :-)

HE'S TURNING 77

Today is my Papa's 77th birthday but it's so sad that we can't celebrate this special day with him for he's celebrating it with Papa God and his angels. I know he's happy up there but sometimes I can't stop myself wishing that he's still here with us, guiding us as he always did when he was still alive and until now I feel that he's always guiding me because I never stop asking him to do so. I never stop talking to him until now. When I'm down, I always talk to him for guidance and of course to Papa God too and they never failed me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA!
You know how much I miss you. I miss you so much and I love you.

HE MISSED HIS FLIGHT

This afternoon is suppose to be the flight of my husband to Regina but he called me at work telling me that he missed his flight. It was clearly written in his itinerary that his flight will be at 13:00 and he taught that it will be at 15:00. There was not much flight to Regina so he took the 6:00 am flight for tomorrow.  I feel pity for him that he loss 1 day of his work but I'm happy at the same time because I have 1 more night with him and I will be here tomorrow when he will leave. I was not here this afternoon when he left the house and I don't like it. I want that I will be here when he will leave because in that way, I can hug and kiss him while saying goodbye.

I hope that he will not miss his flight again tomorrow :-) Good that his boss is so understanding and he didn't even say anything to hubby but just laugh and said "it's okey, it happen sometimes".

BOX FOR MY FAMILY

These are some few stuff that I bought for my family. I didn't have much time to check for sales so I bought most of these stuff in their regular price. I got a good deal of the toothpastes and the white slippers. I paid .25 cents each of the toothpastes at the pharmacy and .25 cents each of the slippers at Old Navy. The slippers are quite big, size 9 and 10 but I still bought them coz I know some of my relatives can use it and my mom can have 1 too.

We just drop the box this afternoon here in Montreal and I hope it will arrive home before me. I just feel  so disappointed when I knew this afternoon that the 2 boxes I sent last Oct were shipped just last month. I just wondering why until now they didn't receive it yet and now I knew. I hope this box will arrive on time.

STORY THAT MADE ME CRY

I was watching "WISH KO LANG" a reality show of GMA 7 in Philippines this morning. I'm not a regular viewer of the show but sometimes I watch it if I remember. I wanted to watch movie but with no reason, I open my computer and watch the show.

The first episode was about the teacher to celebrate the teacher's day. I was touched on how she helps the kids despite of her health condition. But what made me cry was the second episode. It was about a 16 years old boy whose father left him when he was still very young. Inspite of what his father done not only to him and to his mother but to his grandfather too, he didn't feel bad to about him. He's still hoping that one day, they will meet and experience to have a father.

Before his grandfather died, he wished to see his son (the father of the boy) for the last time. The boy emailed the said show hoping to grant his grandfather's wish. The grandfather died without seeing or even talking to his son in the phone. The crew of the show were looking for the father of the boy and luckily, they found him before the burial of the grandfather. The most touching scene was when he arrived at the wake of the father. It's normal that he cried with all the regrets for not seeing his father but what really make me cry is when I saw the boy crying when he saw his father. I can imagine my nephew. He didn't see his father since birth. We don't want to talk about his father but he knows the story about his him. He already ask us once when he was still 9 years old. He's now 18 years old and I wonder if he ask his mother about his father. He don't have his biological father but he has lots of father in our family. We all treat him as our little brother.

LIVING ALONE

Hubby left yesterday at 3:00 am. I was crying the night before while we spent time together in the sofa. We been so busy in the previous days doings things that needs to be done. Then last sunday, he prepared his things that he needs to bring to Alberta, personal things, books and papers for work.

My heart breaks everytime he said I love you and I miss you. I can't help myself but cry. It was already almost 1:00 am when we slept and he needs to wake up at 3:00 am.

The taxi arrived on time. I was really crying when I saw the taxi in the driveway, that means he has to go. I don't want to stop him or else he will miss his flight. When he was at the door, I hug him so tight and cry in his shoulder. I know it was hard for him too but with the money he will earn there encourage him to work and aside from that, he likes his job and he like the people that work with him. He feels that he's only in his vacation.

When I saw the taxi leaving, I felt so weak and I cry and cry and cry until 9:00 am. I was hugging his pillow and it make me feel better.

I had a hard time to sleep last night..we've talked in the phone but after talking, I was not able to sleep. I waited too long before I took a sleeping pills. I slept  around 3:00 am again and woke up 7:00 am, prepare myself, had breakfast and drive straight to work. I just hope that I can sleep tonight. I have to.

I miss my hubby so much.

AFRAID TO BE ALONE

(Lac La Blance- Photograph by me)

I remember the first time I was alone in my whole life was the time when the husband works in United State for a 1 year contract. The first day was so difficult for me. I was crying and crying and crying when he left. I was not able to sleep in the night. I already had my ticket to join him but it was scheduled 1 week after because he still needs to find a place to stay. He wanted to have the place before I will arrive.

One week after, I flew to Vancouver. I had a bad luck when I arrived at the costume. I had my US tourist visa which is good until 2014 but they didn't allow me to enter US because I need to have a TD visa (my hubby had TN visa and they told me that I'm not visiting my hubby but living with him). Good thing that I have a friend to stay in Vancouver. I called the US embassy the next day to have an appointment to get my TD visa but unfortunately, there was no available time before 1 month. I have no choice but wait. Hubby visited me in Vancouver every other weekend.

I got my visa and stay in Seattle for 3 months only that I suppose to stay there until the end of hubby's contract. I didn't like the place. We lived in the hotel and I can't cook. I need to go out if they clean the room. So I decided to go back home and stayed alone for 7 months.

I thought it was easy for me but I was wrong. I can't drive on that time and my french was not yet good. I found it hard and I'm always praying that his contract will be over and be together again.

After his contract, he didn't go back. The company where he worked always called him to go back with all the good benefits and higher salary but he chose to stay with me. I was so happy with his decision.

But now, hubby is scheduled to fly to Alberta for a short term job but it can be extended. I don't want him to go but he likes the job and the salary is way to high. I said okey thinking that I will be okey since I can drive now and I'm working. I will only be alone at night.

Six days more to go and he will fly to Alberta. As the days goes by, I started to feel lonesome. I can't imagine myself on the day that he will leave to the airport. Just thinking of it makes me cry.

I'm so afraid to be alone. I know he always call me but alone in the house, I don't know if I can survive. I'm too dependent to him.

I can't change the plan now. I have to accept it...I think I can do it...no...I CAN DO IT..I HAVE TO.

WELCOME 2012

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I suppose to write an entry yesterday as a start of the year 2012 but too sad that I was not able. We celebrated New Year's Eve at my friend's place with all my Filipino friends. We wanted to stay there until 4:30 in the morning but we decided to leave 1:30 am because we had family supper the next day (Jan 1). I never prepared anything for the supper and still have to do some cleaning. I'm so thankful with my two friends who gave me a hand last night. Fortunately, the party was a success.

First time it happen here that we had karaoke with Hubby's family. It's been a while that I wanted to have it with them but I'm so afraid that they will not enjoy it. They really had fun with the karaoke last night. None of them sings good and that gives us so much fun and they really want to do it again :-) I really didn't expect that they will enjoy it. Good to know:-)

I hope you guys enjoy celebrating the New Year Day ..

I'M TITA AGAIN

Yes, that's right. I'm tita again. My sister-in-law (the wife of my younger brother) give birth to a cute baby girl today (dec. 17, 2008). Too bad the baby didn't wait tomorrow so that she will have the same birthday to her big sister. Anyway, they can celebrate their birthday together :-). I'm so happy for them . I'm so excited to see the new member of the family now.

I'm glad also that the mother and the baby are both safe though they she only gave birth in the house. It's not yet in the expected due date that's why they were not able to prepare. She didn't had labor and when she felt pain it takes only a few minutes and the baby came out. My brother was at work and it happen too fast so they were not able to bring her in the hospital. Good thing that somebody were there to help her giving birth and the midwife arrived too to cut the biblical cord. Everything goes fine with her and the baby. They both happy because they save 25,000 pesos for the hospital. The baby is so nice with her parents..she's really an angerl

This is a very nice christmas gift to them and to the family..WELCOME TO THE FAMILY BABY GIRL... sorry I don't know the name of the baby he hehe.

SO SAD

I just finished talking to my mom in the telephone. They are in CDO just now in the hospital where my grandmother (the sister of my grandfather in my mom's side) is confine. She has a heart problem. Mom told me that there's water in her hearth and she is very weak now. I was not able to talk to her. They said that she will not take long. Though she's already 89 years old but still I feel sad if she will leave us. She don't have family other than us because she's still single. I will be visiting them in june next year and I'm still hoping to see her in my vacation. I'm always praying for her and I'm begging you to say a little prayer for my grandmother.
